Facing Cancer Together through Caring Conversations
Family and Parenting Support Class for Families with Cancer

Parents, grandparents, caregivers and children meet together in peer groups to participate in age appropriate activities to help them manage the cancer in their family. In adult groups, parenting skills are reviewed and parents /grandparents/significant others learn how to communicate with their children in an age appropriate way.

Special programs help children ages (5-8), (8-12), (13-18) to develop the necessary life skills to confront and manage the fear, stress and uncertainty that comes from having a parent or grandparent with cancer.

This program is presented by Coborn Cancer Center in partnership with the Angel Foundation.
