Coborn Cancer Center Radiation department receives three-year accreditation
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The American College of Radiology (ACR) has granted a three-year accreditation to the Coborn Cancer Center Radiation department.
The ACR is a national organization accrediting radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation programs. Their accreditation focuses on the practice of radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health services. The ACR awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. They assess qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy facility equipment. The Coborn Cancer Center Radiation Department is only the second radiation department in Minnesota to achieve this recognition.
