CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center recruiting patients for heart attack research study

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center is seeking patients to participate in a clinical research study investigating the use of a medication and its ability to reduce risk of future heart attacks (myocardial infarction) and other cardiovascular events such as stroke. Male or female participants who have had a myocardial infarction at least 30 days ago may qualify to participate in the research study. Qualified participants will receive all study-related care and medication at no cost. Participants may continue their current medications throughout the study.

Every year, about 785,000 Americans have their "first heart attack." Unfortunately, just because you've had one doesn't mean you can't have another.

For additional eligibility requirements and information about this study, please contact the Research Coordinator, Jen Humbert, R.N., CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center, at
(320) 251-2700, ext. 57560, or e-mail humbertj@centracare.com.
