Financial gifts exceeds Marco match
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – In support of the St. Cloud Hospital construction project, Marco offered a matching gift of up to $100,000 for all donations received by Dec. 31, 2011. The result exceeded the goal with 804 donors contributing $105,918.
This construction project enables St. Cloud Hospital to continue to provide medical care second to none in the Midwest,” said Craig Broman, president of St. Cloud Hospital. “Generous gifts like these will positively impact the lives of patients and their families for decades to come.”
The CentraCare Health Foundation’s Caring for Generations Campaign, publicly launched in October 2010, has raised $18.2 million from local benefactors, employees and physicians to help fund the $225-million, 360,000-square-foot addition to St. Cloud Hospital’s southeast side.
The campaign aims to raise $21.7 million by June 2012. The building is expected to open spring 2012.
“Through this campaign, individuals and organizations like Marco enable CentraCare to achieve its vision of being the leader in Minnesota for quality, safety, service and value,” said Mark Larkin, vice president of Development for CentraCare Health System.
The project will: add state-of-the art surgical suites; increase the number of private patient rooms; create private rooms in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and expand and replace the 25-year-old Intensive Care Unit.
