Join the fight for the cure

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – In May, look for the Food for the Cure logo on products while shopping at Coborn’s stores. When you purchase these products, Coborn’s and their vendor partners will donate a portion of the sales to the Coborn Cancer Center.

In 2006, Food for the Cure raised $107,000 for the Coborn Cancer Center and St. Cloud Hospital Breast Center.

“This effort touches the lives of every cancer patient we serve,” said Mark Larkin, Executive Director of CentraCare Health Foundation. “Cancer patients throughout central and northern Minnesota are getting the extra support they need because of Food for the Cure. With these funds, we are able to provide counseling for patients and their families about their treatment options and to give them hope and guidance as they live with cancer. We are very grateful to Coborn’s and their vendor partners for making this happen.”

Coborn Cancer Center, part of CentraCare Health System, has far exceeded the original anticipated demand and construction is underway to expand the facility. Coborn Cancer Center provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care and an extensive range of treatment options to support cancer patients and their families. The American College of Surgeons has designated the Cancer Center a certified community cancer program.
