Local H1N1 testing done on inpatients only

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – CentraCare Health System health care providers support the Centers for Disease Control and Minnesota Department of Health guidelines for people experiencing flu-like symptoms.

St. Cloud Hospital and CentraCare Clinic are NOT testing for H1N1 in the emergency room or in any of the clinics. H1N1 testing will continue to be done when indicated for hospitalized patients who have been admitted with serious flu-like symptoms.

Currently, St. Cloud Hospital is waiting for the results of four possible H1N1 patients with flu-like symptoms. Since Sept. 12, St. Cloud Hospital has received no positive H1N1 test results.
