Local attorney to join CentraCare Health System

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Paul Harris, J.D., will join CentraCare Health System as vice president and general counsel in June.

Harris has worked closely with CentraCare while practicing with St. Cloud’s Hughes Mathews firm, where he started work in 1991 and became a partner in 1998. Prior to his work with that firm, Harris was a law clerk to two Minnesota Supreme Court justices. He is a graduate of St. John’s University and Marquette University Law School. Harris is the past chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association Health Law Section.

As vice president and general counsel, Paul will coordinate and oversee the provision of legal services for the health system and all of its entities. He will serve as primary legal counsel to the system president, the senior executive team and boards of directors. Paul also will work closely with system leadership groups, the medical staff, governance committees and the community.
