St. Cloud Hospital Home Care named to elite list

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud Hospital Home Care has again been named to the 2009 HomeCare Elite top agency list by OCS, Inc., a market leader in health care information solutions.

St. Cloud Hospital Home Care and Hospice Director Gail Olson credits her dedicated staff who put the patient at the center of what they do every day.

“Home Care enables patients to stay in their home, which is where they want to be, and yet still receive compassionate, high-quality care. Our professional teams of clinicians work together to deliver the care, education and resources that assist our patients to become as independent as possible while recovering at home. We are committed to improving our patients’ outcomes and are proud of the success that we have had this year,” Olson said.

Home Care provided 35,126 visits to 1,878 patients in 2008 Olson said.

The HomeCare Elite top agency list is a collection of the most successful Medicare-certified home health care providers in the United States. The annual review recognizes the top 25 percent of agencies through an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance. The data used for this analysis was compiled from publicly available information. The HomeCare Elite is the only performance recognition of its kind. St. Cloud Hospital Home Care also was named to the Elite top agency list in 2008 as well as in 2006, the first year the list was compiled.
