Celebrate Gorecki Care Center’s grand opening at St. Benedict’s Senior Community

St. Cloud, Minn. – St. Benedict’s Senior Community - St. Cloud, 1810 Minnesota Blvd. SE, is hosting an open house to celebrate the renovation of portions of the existing care center and the opening of the new addition from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2.

The care center was renamed the Gorecki Care Center in honor of Benedict and Dorothy Gorecki of Milaca, who gave St. Benedict’s Senior Community $3.5 million for the addition of a new wing to increase the number of private rooms for residents.

“At St. Benedict’s Senior Community, we rely on philanthropy to fill the gaps in long-term care funding,” said Linda Doerr, executive director of St. Benedict’s Senior Community. “We are blessed to have benefactors such as Benedict and Dorothy Gorecki whose gifts help create a warm, homelike environment for our residents.”

The Gorecki Care Center features:

40 more private resident rooms
Satellite physical therapy suite
Short stay unit
Bariatric rooms
Respite care rooms
Hospice room
Salon
Gift shop
Café

Tours and refreshments will be available. Follow signs to enter the new Gorecki Care Center south of the main St. Benedict’s entrance.
