St. Benedict’s Senior Community receives Confident Choices For Senior Living designations

St. Cloud, Minn. – A program designed to recognize quality and help educate consumers about senior housing options has awarded St. Benedict’s Senior Community in Monticello and
St. Cloud with its Confident Choices designation.

Aging Services of Minnesota designed the Confident Choices initiative specifically for housing-with-services and assisted living settings, where consumers can choose from a wide variety of options. The requirements were developed by experienced housing-with-services providers and are based on standards of practice that truly influence the quality of a consumer’s experience.

“Consumers will look for the Confident Choices logo as they are choosing their housing provider and that those organizations earning the Confident Choices designation will be viewed by their peers, consumers and others as being among the best in the field,” said Sandy Haggerty, director of St. Benedict’s Senior Community - Monticello.

Consumers can choose from a wide variety of options when it comes to housing services for their loved ones and it can be a daunting task, said Angie Rangel, the director of Benedict Homes and the Benedict Court in St. Cloud. “This designation will help consumers make their right choice — based on their loved one’s needs. They have so many options out there and with the Confident Choices designation they can feel comfortable that we have the outstanding services that can be provided to them.”

“We are more than a beautiful building with a friendly staff. This will show we have a lot of things in place to provide quality care,” said Deb Bakken, the director of Benedict Village in Cloud.

Lori Norheim, the director of Benet Place and Benet Place South, said the designation represents a stamp of approval and will generate confidence in the consumer. “This designation will let people know that we have met certain criteria to provide the best care and that we have a program in place to meet these expectations.”
