St. Cloud Hospital Gorecki Guest House open house June 10

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud Hospital is hosting a public open house from 6-8 p.m. June 10 for the newly completed Gorecki Guest House. Stop by for a tour and enter your name into a drawing for the chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the St. Cloud Hospital Gift Gallery.

The guest house is scheduled to open and welcome its first guests June 15. The new house features 12 guest rooms, each with private bath and localized thermostats; kitchen and dining rooms to accommodate family meals; a large living room, library and TV room; and is conveniently located across the street from St. Cloud Hospital.

“Having a safe, comfortable place for family members to stay is very important to patients. Knowing their loved ones are close by can ease some of their fears and help them focus on recovery,” said Janene Riedeman, director of Volunteer Services.

The mission of the guest house is to provide affordable, temporary housing in a peaceful, homelike setting to families and patients receiving medical care in the St. Cloud community.

The expanded guest house will help St. Cloud Hospital better meet the need for accommodations of out-of-town patients and families during a time of medical crises or serious illness. Currently, guests stay in the River Oaks Hospitality House, which is only able to accommodate three families, with many more turned away.
