St. Cloud Hospital wins Minnesota Hospital Association awards
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud Hospital received four awards at the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) awards banquet May 8. MHA’s annual program recognizes volunteers, medical professionals, trustees and others whose contributions improved health care at Minnesota hospitals last year. St. Cloud Hospital’s awards include the 2009:
Best Minnesota Hospital Workplace award (large hospital category), honors a hospital that “goes the extra mile” in enhancing employee satisfaction through basic or creative retention strategies;
Health Care Career Promotion award (large hospital category), designed to honor a hospital that is exemplary in the promotion of health careers to students and those interested in changing careers;
Volunteer of the Year award, received by Corene Kain, 95, for her 35 years of volunteer service at St. Cloud Hospital; and
Health Resources Services Administration award given by LifeSource, for achieving a 75 percent organ donation rate from potential donors.
“The extraordinary commitment of employees and volunteers at St. Cloud Hospital is why we received these awards,” said Craig Broman, St. Cloud Hospital president. “Their talent and unwavering dedication are what make the hospital a great place to work and receive care.”
