ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud Hospital Rehabilitation Unit has received a three-year accreditation by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for the following medical rehabilitation programs:
Inpatient Rehabilitation Program – Adults.
Inpatient Rehabilitation Program - Children and Adolescents.
Inpatient rehabilitation combines rehabilitation nursing with intense therapy. The goal is to help patients lead a more independent life following an illness or injury. Conditions often treated include stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological impairments such as multiple sclerosis, multiple traumas, amputations, orthopedic conditions, as well as many others.
CARF accreditation is a blueprint for quality services and ensures conformance to the highest industry standards possible. This accreditation indicates St. Cloud Hospital’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit has passed a rigorous peer review process of its services & has demonstrated conformance with nationally and internationally accepted standards. A 3 year accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization. St. Cloud Hospital’s Rehabilitation Unit is the first CARF accredited program in Central Minnesota and one of 14 in Minnesota
