Spring Fling raises almost $76,000
St. Cloud, Minn. – The sixth annual Spring Fling on June 4 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community raised almost $76,000 to enhance the nurturing environment for the residents.
This year’s proceeds will help support Pastoral Care, two new outdoor gardens and bringing nature indoors through aviaries, aquariums and pet therapy.
“This is the first time we have hosted the event on our campus,” said Luan Knoll, CentraCare Health Foundation development officer. “We have heard rave reviews about the garden party theme — especially dancing under the stars to the George Maurer Variety Group.”
Residents of St. Benedict’s campus and their families were invited to Lillian’s Garden for dessert and music. Residents of Benedict Village displayed their beautiful crafts, which were available for purchase. Rosewood Nursery offered garden décor and flowers for sale; part of the proceeds benefited St. Benedict’s Senior Community.
The presenting sponsor for Spring Fling 2009 was Marco. Co-sponsors were Patrick Lynch, and Mary and John Weitzel.
