Cardiac surgery program receives three-star rating From Spotlight on Health - Fall 2011

The Central Minnesota Heart Center cardiac surgery program received the top rating of three stars as performing above the national average in the September 2011 issue of Consumer Reports magazine.

The rating was based on overall performance, complications and other quality measures. The data is gathered by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons from more than 90 percent of the roughly 1,100 surgical groups in the United States that perform cardiac surgery. This is the second time in two years the Central Minnesota Heart Center has been recognized in Consumer Reports for the quality of its cardiac surgery program.
