Forever Healthy Cooking Series

From Spotlight on Health July/Aug. 2008

Rich Flores

“There’s more to cooking than just following a recipe,” said Rich Flores, a registered dietitian and diabetes educator at the Diabetes Center.

“In this cooking series, you will learn how to take plain food and, by adding just the right spices, turn it into something delicious. The key to food is, first, it needs to taste good and second, it needs to be healthy.”

If you take this class, you also will learn how to read labels, try new foods that are delicious and healthy, and choose the best fruits and vegetables in the grocery store.

Whether you’re making a snack for one or a holiday dinner for many, these classes will teach you how to make good nutrition choices. For more information or to register, please call (320) 202-7759.
