Emotions were running high in the Mastin house. Red and Karen were welcoming home their new daughter from South Korea — a sister for their sons. It was the beginning of a new life for all of them. Soon after, the emotional pendulum swung back, and that picture-perfect life was shaken with Red’s diagnosis of lymphoma. That meant chemotherapy and radiation treatments, but with comprehensive cancer care in St. Cloud, it didn’t mean long trips to see specialists or time away from loved ones.

“I got to stay in my home, be with my family and continue to run my business,” Red said of his months of treatment. “I’m grateful for that and for the people of Coborn Cancer Center. There’s a lot of life in this house, and I owe that to them.”
