Working together for healthier communities.
CentraCare Health Foundation coordinates and funds special community projects that have had a positive impact on our area.
The projects we support throughout Central Minnesota are selected by their ability to positively affect the health of our communities. A 30-member Community Collaboration Committee uses a variety of data — from the Minnesota Departments of Health and Public Safety, among other sources — to drive their decisions.
Currently, CentraCare’s Community Projects include:
BLEND (Better Living: Exercise and Nutrition Daily) is a coalition of medical professionals, policy makers, educators, health care advocates and parents who are committed to improving the health of children in Central Minnesota by reducing the epidemic of childhood obesity.

BLEND’s Community Sponsors include Coborn’s Inc, Gold’n Plump, Scheels All Sports, Morgan Family Foundation, and Bernick's.
Smoke Free Communities is a coalition of individuals and organizations committed to reducing the impact of tobacco in Central Minnesota. We strive to accomplish this through education and advocacy, and we support 1) policies that reduce exposure to secondhand smoke, 2) individuals who would like to quit, and 3) prevention programs that protect people from tobacco use.
