System/Community Funds

Fund Description

CentraCare Health Foundation – Greatest Needs

Provides funding for projects and programs that focus on improving healthcare and the health of the people throughout the 12 counties of Central Minnesota. 

Long Prairie Memorial Community Health

Provide funding for capital equipment, patient, staff or community education and support other Long Prairie based programs.

Melrose Foundation – Greatest Needs

Provide funding for capital equipment, patient, staff or community education and support other Melrose based programs.

Behavioral Health Funds

Fund Description

Behavioral Health – Greatest Needs

Supports the greatest needs of patients in Behavioral Health.

Child & Adolescent
Behavioral Health

Supports the ongoing operations of the child and adolescent behavioral health services at Clara’s House.

Adult Psychiatry Services

Supports the greatest needs of patients in the Adult Psychiatry Unit.

Sallie Engel Fund

The fund is used to conduct programs, training and education for caregivers on working with survivors of physical, emotional, sexual or spiritual trauma.

Foundation for Recovery Fund

This fund is used to assist patients and family members impacted by chemical dependency who do not have adequate insurance to pay for the services desired.

Cancer Funds

Fund Description

Coborn Cancer Center 

Provides financial support for programs including but not limited to patient education, early cancer detection, the cancer registry, the cancer library and/or support for case coordinator activities. 

Pediatric Cancer – Greatest Needs

Support a child –life specialist, which will help support children with cancer. Provides funds for support group activities for patients and their families.

Breast Cancer – Greatest Needs

Provide funds to help patients in any way possible deal with this disease and ensure the ability of the program to provide quality patient centered care.

Dr. Harold E. Windschitl Cancer Research Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to enhance cancer services and support the cancer research efforts of CentraCare Health System and its entities

Aunt Leona’s Fund

Provides funds to purchase one prosthetic bra for all women newly diagnosed with breast cancer.

Hind-Site Fund

Fund supports colon cancer education, screenings and the promotion of complementary medicines.

Cancer Survivorship Network Fund The Cancer Survivorship Network Fund supports the Coborn Cancer Center in their efforts to assist those patients living with cancer. Through the Cancer Survivorship Network a new dimension of care is delivered that provides patients access to information and services that enhances their overall quality of life – support that includes spiritual, psychological, social and physical resource connections that patients need during this time.

Parent, Child & Women Funds

Fund Description

Women’s Health Fund


Supports the greatest needs related to enhancing women’s health education and improving the delivery of women’s health services throughout Central Minnesota. Current focus areas include the Women’s Health 101 Symposium, the CentraCare Women’s Health Library, and bringing innovative approaches to women’s health.

Children’s Health Fund


Supports the greatest needs related to prenatal, family birthing, child and adolescent health education and improving the overall delivery of these services across Central Minnesota. Current focus areas include the patient needs of the SCH Children’s Center and SCH Family Birthing Center.

SCH Cleft & Craniofacial Center

Supports dental related treatment, patient services, research and/or staff education that will impact dental services for the clients of the Cleft and Craniofacial Center.

Central Minnesota Heart Center Funds

Fund Description

Central MN Heart Center – Greatest Needs

Furthers the mission on CMHC including research/clinical trials, staff/community education, expansion of clinical services, development of programs to prevent heart disease and provide care to those who lack resources.

Joseph & Susan Kuhl Heart Center Education Fund

Provides continuing education for the non-physician staff of CMHC and provides scholarships for current of future CMHC non-physician employees.

St. Benedict's Senior Community Funds

Fund Description

SBSC – Greatest Needs

To enhance the mission of SBSC to serve and support our residents. This fund provides for resident needs, capital equipment and to enhance the overall environment of the organization.

SBSC – Spiritual Care Fund

In order to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of the residents of SBSC and their families, this fund provides financial stability and support to the Pastoral Care Department and its Chaplains to ensure a strong and consistent presence of Pastoral Care at SBSC which is not dependent upon the adequacy of funding from the State of MN.

SBSC – Memory Loss / Alzheimer Fund

Provides funds to support Memory Loss programs including but not limited to staff education, enhancing the physical environment and capital equipment that is utilized specifically by our Memory Loss residents.

SBSC – Housing Funds Funds help support and provide opportunities that care for the mind, body and spirit of all who live across the campus (beyond the walls of the care center building) at St. Benedict's Senior Community. Housing funds include SBSC-Benedict Village, SBSC-Benedict Court, SBSC-Benet Place and SBSC-Monticello.

Scholarships & Education Funds

Fund Description

Rosalie Timmers Jr. Volunteer Scholarship

Supports scholarships for Junior Volunteers actively volunteering at SCH who want to pursue a career in healthcare.

Ballantine / Miller Behavioral Health Lectureship

Supports annual lecture in behavioral health with a focus on chemical dependency.

Dr. Robert Cumming Family Practice Education

Supports the Family Practice Residency program and education efforts to promote that enhance the medical discipline of Family Practice.

Dr. Phillip Halenbeck Education Fund

Supports scholarships for CCHS employees who want to further their education.

Yvonne Obermiller Kremers – St. Bens Nursing Fund

Fund supports scholarships for College of St. Benedict students who want to pursue a career in nursing.

Dr. William Held Radiology Scholarship

Fund supports scholarships to help students who have successfully completed their first year of radiology technology school.

SCH School of Nursing Alumni Scholarship

Fund support nursing education and recruitment of viable candidates into the profession through financial assistance.

St. Cloud Medical Foundation – Mission Scholarship

Provides modest support for local individuals to perform medical mission work around the world.

Program Funds

Fund Description

River Oaks Hospitality House

Provides a safe, comfortable and affordable lodging for families of patients residing outside of St. Cloud area and receiving treatment within the St. Cloud medical community.

Mid Minnesota Family Practice Center – Greatest Needs

Provides a variety of services to those who lack financial resources or insurance, including interpreter services, prenatal services, and other general medical services.

SCH Diabetes Center – Greatest Needs

Supports improving the health, increasing the knowledge base, and decreasing the long term complications for those patients with diabetes.

SCH Stroke Center – Greatest Needs

Supports the greatest needs of patients in the Stroke Center.

SCH Dialysis – Greatest Needs

Supports the greatest needs of patients in the Dialysis Unit.

SCH Hospice – Greatest Needs

Provides help to individuals and families who experience an inability to pay for medical services or medications associated with their advancing disease or to help them complete a final wish. 

SCH Neurology – Greatest Needs

Supports the greatest needs of patients in Neurology.
