She thought it was the chicken she had eaten at her family’s reunion — a little indigestion, perhaps. It turned out to be a 90% blockage of her right coronary artery that dramatically reduced blood flow to her heart. In the ambulance on the way to St. Cloud Hospital, she remained surprisingly calm, with an abundance of faith in her physician. Her physician also had faith, and he wondered if she’d like to pray before surgery. “When he asked if I was a woman of faith, I knew I was going to be all right. And a successful angioplasty proved it.”
