On a cold January morning in 2007, Lupita Patrick’s car hit a patch of ice, and her life slipped out of control. She was rushed to CentraCare Health System – Melrose Hospital, where she was stabilized before being transported to St. Cloud Hospital with a head injury, and a broken back, ribs, arm and two broken clavicles.
She returned to Melrose four months later
to recover at CentraCare Health System – Melrose - Pine Villa Care Center. After months of rehabilitation and physical and occupational therapy at CentraCare Health System – Melrose, Lupita is able to lead a normal life.
“It’s been a long and painful journey, but I’m so glad to be alive,” Lupita said. “There were times when I was in so much pain I wanted to give up, but the staff in Melrose gave me hope. They were always there for me.” |
