After meeting with an MMFMC Patient Advocate and physician, Ronald was able to apply for our sliding fee discount for medical services. We were also able to provide a free sample supply of his medication. Ronald remains under our care as he looks for permanent employment.

Mid-Minnesota Family Medicine Center is a clinic that provides treatment, prevention, and education to all patients, including those who are underserved or uninsured. And if it wasn’t for the residency program — the only one in Central Minnesota — we wouldn’t have as many rural physicians to turn to.

As the clinic of the University of Minnesota/St. Cloud Hospital Family Medicine Residency program, MMFMC’s goal is to train competent, caring family physicians to practice in rural communities.

Support the Patient Advocate Endowment, which provides treatment to families with no other health care options, including:

• Assistance in applications for Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP)
• Sliding Fee Schedule Scholarship applications
• Eye care program
• Hearing aid bank program
• Transportation coordination
• Minnesota Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program (SAGE)
• Prescription voucher assistance program
• Referrals for food, housing, dental options, clothing, and financial assistance
