Laboratory Services
A variety of in-house lab services are provided to support both inpatient and outpatient needs. The department also sends out lab work to area medical facilities, including St. Cloud Hospital and Douglas County Hospital. The lab serves as a collection site for the Department of Transportation's NIDA testing.

Nutrition Counseling
Nutrition counseling is offered for people with a variety of dietary needs or medical conditions. These include cardiac, diabetic or dialysis patients, those requiring low-sodium or lactose-free diets, as well as those involved in weight management. Nutrition counseling may be ordered by a physician, or people may access this service on their own.

Oncology and Chemotherapy Services
Long Prairie Memorial offers in-house chemotherapy services and access to a visiting oncologist through our outpatient specialty clinic. The oncologist sees patients in our facility on a monthly basis.

Surgery
Our surgical suite accommodates patients with a wide range of surgical needs. Some patients undergo same day surgery, which means they go home on the same day they have their procedure. Other more complex surgical procedures may require an overnight or short hospital stay. If you have a surgical procedure planned, your doctor will tell you if a hospital stay is required for you.

A surgery waiting area with television, reading materials and telephone is nearby for use by family members and friends.

Intensive Care/Coronary Care
ICU/CCU patient rooms are equipped with advanced monitoring equipment, and the nursing staff is specially trained to care for seriously ill patients.
