Pine Villa Care Center
Pine Villa Care Center is a 75-bed nursing home made up of two units: Pine Villa, our regular skilled nursing unit, and Pine Haven, our special care unit for residents with Alzheimer’s disease, memory loss or other behavior conditions.
In both the Pine Villa and Pine Haven units, skilled nursing services are provided by staff that has been trained in the care of the elderly and those with special needs. In addition to high-quality care, both units offer a warm, home-like environment that is safe and secure.
Rehabilitation services for residents are provided by the hospital’s physical therapy and occupational therapy departments. Medical care for residents is easily accessible, with both the hospital and clinic adjacent to the care center.
We offer daily Mass in our chapel and we provide convenient transportation services with our 15-passenger, handicapped-accessible van, which transports residents to various community destinations for shopping, dining or other events.
In addition to the services we provide for our residents, we also offer services to the community, including:
- An Alzheimer’s disease support group that meets monthly to provide support to family members who are dealing with issues related to this disease. For more information about the group, please call (320) 256-4474.
- Our Adult Day Care Program is available for community residents who require supervised care. This program is used to give private caregivers or family members a break or day off. Clients can come for full or partial days and join in on the activity programming at the nursing home. Medications, baths and treatments are given, if needed. In addition, physical and occupational therapy can be provided. In some cases, clients have used this program for “night” care, which allows the caregiver to spend a restful night at home. These clients arrive at bedtime, spend the night with us and return home in the morning after breakfast.
We are here to work with you and provide the support you need to care for your loved one. For more information about the Adult Day Care program, please contact Pine Villa Care Center at (320) 256-4474 or by e-mail at melrosehospital@centracare.com.
