About Recovery Plus
Recovery Plus is more than our name; it is our mission. We strive to ensure our clients’ recovery, plus show them the benefits of a chemical-free lifestyle. A full continuum of clinical services is offered to provide individualized care by a team of professionals, including physicians, psychiatrists, social workers, chemical dependency counselors, psychologists, nurses, chaplains, registered dieticians and therapeutic recreational therapists. 

Our staff of highly skilled professionals has pioneered several innovative treatment programs that have gained national recognition in the areas of programming for seniors, women with children and relapse-prone individuals.

Recovery Plus
 

Various levels of intensity and frequency of sessions are offered during day and evening hours. A gender-specific, residential outpatient program is offered for individuals who need a supportive living environment while they complete the intensive full-day outpatient program. 

  • Evaluation - Psychotherapists and chemical dependency counselors are available to provide timely evaluations of a chemical abuse problem, offer recommendations and assist with referrals to appropriate levels of care. Individual sessions and group self-evaluation/education programs are offered.
  • Family Services - Licensed social workers, licensed psychologists and family therapists provide a variety of programs for education, treatment, counseling and aftercare for all ages. Programs include special services for pregnant women and women with children.
  • Aftercare Services - Counselor-facilitated aftercare is offered to each client, with special programs for men, women, seniors, relapse and professionals. We also network with families and other community resources for ongoing recovery support.
  • Relapse Services - Relapse prevention specialists provide specific programming to help clients commit to sobriety and develop a recovery-based lifestyle with support from family and the community. 
  • Choices Program - A 20-hour education and assessment program is designed for individuals who have experienced chemical use problems but do not meet the criteria as dependent.

Inpatient Services
Medical detoxification, medical stabilization and comprehensive psychological assessment are available on an inpatient basis at St. Cloud Hospital.

Definitions of Programs
Primary Program 
The focus of this program is to assist clients who do not have an understanding of chemical dependency. The main areas of emphasis are assessment, diagnosis, education and exposure to the disease concept as well as an understanding of recovery.

Dual Diagnosis Program 
This program is designed for the dually diagnosed client who presents with a complex pattern of multiple issues.

Client Information: What to Bring
At Recovery Plus, we will strive to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. If you have questions about an item not listed, please call us first at (800) 742-4357 or (320) 229-3760.

Bring:

  • Medications in their original bottles (including Tylenol or aspirin)
  • One week’s worth of clothes – plain, casual clothes such as jeans, t-shirts, tennis shoes, etc.
  • Small clock radio or alarm clock
  • Hygiene items (shampoo, deodorant, makeup, shaving supplies, toothbrush and toothpaste)
  • You may bring, if you’d like: a pillow, plastic sandals for the shower, hairdryers, curling irons, a prepaid calling card and any snack items that you would like in addition to the meals that are provided to you (must be prepackaged).

Do not bring:

  • Cell phones. Due to confidentiality, cell phones are not allowed in the lodging facility or treatment building. Long distance calls need to be made collect or bring a prepaid calling card.
  • Towels and linens
  • Clothes considered revealing or t-shirts with bar logos, etc.
  • CD’s, boomboxes, DVDs, iPods, headphones, TVs, cameras, electronic game systems
  • Weapons of any kind, including pocket knives
  • Anything of value
