Intervention:
A process by which concerned persons can help “raise the bottom” for someone spiraling downward into alcohol and/or drug problems.

Goals of the Intervention Program

• Educate… family and other concerned persons about alcohol/other drug addictions and co-dependencies.
• Train… people how to help someone who has an alcohol or drug problem get the help he or she needs.
• Encourage… concerned persons to obtain help for themselves  through referral to Alanon and/or therapy.

The Intervention Program teaches families how to:

• Use “care-frontation”
• Avoid enabling
• Develop an intervention plan
• Implement the plan

The Intervention Program consists of:

1. A free intervention workshop
1st Saturday of each month fom 9 a.m. - noon at Recovery Plus Addiction& Mental Health Services, 713 Anderson Ave., St. Cloud, MN 56303

2. A pre-intervention meeting with family members and/or concerned persons.
$80/hr. *
Time and place set up by calling Recovery Plus for an appointment with  a trained, experienced interventionist.

3. The Intervention

Time and place usually agreed upon at the pre-intervention
