| Grief & Bereavement Services The bereavement coordinator, assisted by other hospice team members, provides grief support to immediate family members for 13 months following the death of their loved one.
Support during the grief journey
The bereavement coordinator, chaplain or hospice volunteers provide a variety of support:
- Send cards or letters on special holidays or birthdays
- Call occasionally to assess how the family members are handling their grief
- Provide educational resources on grief
- Visit when needed to offer support
