Direct Access Testing
Personal Diagnostic Health Care
For patients who want to order their own laboratory tests
What you need to know:
- A physician’s order is not required for these tests.
- No appointment is necessary.
- Anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- You must pay for the tests in advance by cash or check; insurance will not be billed.
- Most test results will be mailed to you within 3-5 working days. You are encouraged to share them with your health care provider.
- A Clinical Laboratory Scientist will review and notify you of critical test results.
- Testing is performed by CentraCare Laboratory Services, licensed and accredited by federal and regulatory agencies, ensuring accurate and precise results.
- You are responsible for contacting a physician regarding your test results, if necessary.
What to do:
Come directly to CentraCare Laboratory Services at the following locations. Do not register at the admitting desk.
CentraCare Health Plaza Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
St. Cloud Hospital Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
