About CentraCare Laboratory Services
CentraCare Laboratory Services (CCLS) provides quality service, expert consultation and comprehensive medical laboratory information to Central Minnesota. This high quality laboratory testing is enhanced by a team of five pathologists who direct the operations of the laboratory.

The laboratory serves not only the needs of St. Cloud Hospital, but also the needs of many area clinics. Also within the laboratory is a fully accredited blood bank that assures an adequate supply of blood for surgery needs in the St. Cloud area. The blood bank offers an autologous donor program for patients having major elective surgeries at St. Cloud Hospital.

Accreditation
Under the direction of our board-certified pathologists, CentraCare Laboratory Services has consistently maintained accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

In addition, the Blood Bank has consistently maintained its accreditation by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

CentraCare Laboratory Services further promotes high quality testing by employing only ASCP and/or NCA certified personnel to perform the actual clinical testing. Similarly, cytology tests are prepared and examined by an ASCP-certified cytotechnologist, and later reviewed by a pathologist. The above standards of quality, coupled with state-of-the-art technology, allow CCLS to provide high quality, sophisticated, clinical testing to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of hospital and clinic patients.
