CentraCare Laboratory Home Collection Instructions
Fasting Laboratory Visit
If you are asked to arrive for a fasting lab test, please do not eat any food or drink any liquids (except water) for 10-12 hours. Please continue to take your prescribed medication and drink water as usual.
If you are just visiting the lab for a fasting glucose (blood sugar), then only a six-hour fasting period is required.
