Pediatric Physical Therapists help your child enjoy movement. They focus on those skills that your child needs to learn in order to become as independent as possible. They help you to identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses in the areas of strength, balance, coordination, mobility and motor control.

Physical therapists often see children who have been diagnosed with autism, brain tumors, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, genetic syndromes, traumatic brain injury, spina bifida, stroke, sensory processing delays, seizure disorders, torticollis, injuries to muscles/joints/bones, and complications due to premature birth.

Pediatric Occupational Therapists help your child learn the skills necessary to play. They focus on the sometimes subtle tasks of visual-motor development, sensory processing, fine-motor development, feeding skills and activities of daily learning.

Occupational therapists often see children who have been diagnosed with autism, brain tumors, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, feeding difficulties, genetic syndromes, traumatic brain injury, spina bifida, stroke, seizure disorders, sensory processing delays, visual motor difficulties, writing difficulties and complications due to premature birth.

Pediatric Speech/Language Pathologists help your child learn the skills necessary for communication and feeding. They focus on helping your child comprehend and use language to learn and make their needs known. Many speech-language pathologists are specialists in swallowing difficulties and are able to adapt feeding and diet to allow for safe swallowing.
