River Oaks Hospitality House welcomes patients and family members of patients who are receiving medical care in the St. Cloud community. The house offers a comfortable, home-like atmosphere that allows families the opportunity to stay close to their loved ones.

This beautiful home is maintained by a caring group of St. Cloud Hospital volunteers and staff, who are available to assist guests with their hospitality needs.

In 2006, River Oaks Hospitality House:

• served 546 guests.
• had guests from 48 Minnesota counties and 22 states.
• achieved a guest satisfaction score of 99 percent.
  

River Oaks Hospitality House is a proud member of the National Association of Hospital Hospitality Houses (NAHHH).

Stay at River Oaks Hospitality House – Guest Information
Conveniently located on the north end of the St. Cloud Hospital campus, the house offers many amenities including:

• five bedrooms
• laundry area
• living room
• kitchen and gathering area overlooking the Mississippi River
• a continental breakfast
• security system
• barrier-free facilities
• smoke-free environment.

The cost of a room per night is $40. We do not take advance reservations, but are willing to record room (anticipated arrival) requests from families who will be coming to St. Cloud for future medical care. We contact families 24 hours before their requested arrival to confirm room availability.

Members of patient families are welcome to use the common areas of the Hospitality House to rest and relax during the day. There is no charge for this service, but please call ahead.

Donate to River Oaks Hospitality House
While the guest fee per night helps defray some of our operating costs, a significant portion of River Oaks Hospitality House’s operational budget is met by donations.

The comfort we provide not only impacts those staying at the house, but helps patients in the hospital feel at ease knowing their family members are in a secure, welcoming environment close to them.

A gift of $260 will offset the cost of operating the house for one day. Your gift will support the comfort and amenities provided to five families and allow them to stay close to their loved ones receiving medical treatment in the St. Cloud area. Through our “Adopt-A-Day” program, you may dedicate your gift to honor someone or to celebrate an anniversary, birthday or other special day.

Volunteering at River Oaks Hospitality House
All volunteers of River Oaks Hospitality House participate in training sessions to become familiar with the services and amenities the house has to offer. Typical volunteer activities include making arrangements for overnight stays, preparing rooms for new guests and answering questions about services available to guests.
