Spiritual Care Services

As chaplains at St. Cloud Hospital, our staff is prepared to serve you in a manner you find supportive.

Our Staff
Our staff consists of Catholic priests, Protestant ministers, Catholic sisters and lay chaplains who visit patients and respond to referrals from patients, nurses, physicians and other staff.

The approach of the chaplaincy staff is ecumenical. We respect the beliefs and traditions of all we serve. We work in collaboration with area clergy in order to meet the spiritual needs of each person.

We are available to listen, to reflect and to offer prayer and support as part of the healing process for our patients and their families.

A Catholic priest is available to administer the Sacrament of the Sick and Reconciliation to anyone in need. Holy Communion is distributed daily to Catholic patients and to Protestant patients upon request.

Spiritual Care volunteers are assigned to various floors throughout the hospital to visit patients and offer spiritual support, prayer and Holy Communion daily to patients and their family members.

Wholeness in Healing
Spiritual and emotional support are available when you are:

  • experiencing an emergency or stressful times
  • facing a difficult decision
  • looking for a friend to listen to a personal problem
  • anticipating surgery
  • coping with a long-term illness
  • feeling abandoned by God
  • experiencing the birth of a new child

Our Mission
As a Catholic regional hospital, we improve the health and quality of life for the people we serve in a manner that reflects the healing mission of Jesus.
