The Stroke Center exists to provide essential stroke services to residents of Central Minnesota. Available 24-hours a day, seven days a week, it offers comprehensive, interdisciplinary, patient- and family-centered stroke care that encompasses public awareness and prevention education, rapid triage, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.

A dedicated team
A multidisciplinary team of physicians and health providers collaborate with emergency personnel to help identify stroke and begin treatment. Working together, the team promotes community stroke awareness and delivers stroke care in accordance with evidence-based recommendations and guidelines established by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Heart/American Stroke Association.

St. Cloud Hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ for certification as a Primary Stroke Center after meeting nationally developed standards for stroke care. This achievement signifies that the hospital can meet the unique and specialized needs of stroke patients.
