The LandmarX ENT Image Guidance System, from Xomed, utilizes imaging data from computed tomography (CT) scanning devices to create a 3-D image of the patient’s head. That image is then optically matched to the patient’s anatomy to provide the real-time, precise location of surgical instruments. This procedure allows doctors to perform surgery in complicated areas.
