We appreciate your interest in volunteering. Volunteer positions for college students are offered during two terms each year: school year and summer. Openings are limited.

Opportunities

Most volunteer positions are available Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. There are limited evening and weekend opportunities.

Commitment
We require a commitment to volunteering at least 100 hours after orientation. The days and time you volunteer are scheduled according to the needs of our health system and your availability.

College Applicant Process
Because of the seriousness of volunteering in a health care setting, our training is extensive. Before applying to volunteer, please carefully consider your ability to commit to the program. Requirements include:

• Application - College Volunteer Application
• Three completed recommendation forms - Recommendation Form (PDF)
• Letter of Interest - 250 words maximum
• Provide immunization records for:
  1) Chicken Pox (CP). (must have one of the following)
  - History of having had chicken pox such as the year you had chicken pox.
  - Vaccine record with dates of 2 doses of CP vaccine received.
  2) If you were born after 1956, you must also provide a record with dates of 2 doses of Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccine.
