The best experience I have had volunteering is when a patient told me, "Thank you for coming in to paint with me. My owies don't hurt as bad anymore!" To me, this was the greatest compliment I could have received. |
The best experience I had volunteering was reading books to two kids so that their father could go visit their mother who was a patient in the ETC. Because I stayed with the children, he was able to be with his wife during a difficult time. |

My favorite part of volunteering at St. Cloud Hospital is the atmosphere created by the employees and other volunteers. Many people I help are under a lot of stress because of a loved one’s illness. I have found that I support of them with a warm smile, kind words or helping them find their way. |
My favorite part about volunteering at Project Heal is the diversity of the clients we see at the food shelf site, as well as the different concerns they bring. It is very humbling working with the clients because they are always very appreciative of any care given. |

The best experience that I had volunteering was when a patient was fearful of surgery and asked if I would stay with her until it was time to go into the operating room. She asked if I could say a prayer with her. After we finished she smiled and said, “I will see you later, I'm ready now." I think that she was relieved and no longer fearful of the unknown. |
I started volunteering at St. Cloud Hospital because I believe that in life you need a balance between what you do for yourself and what you do for others. For me, being able to serve a person in need is very rewarding. It reminds me to be thankful and appreciative of each moment.

I started volunteering because I knew that it would be an excellent way to stay involved in my community. I had an interest in health care and I knew it would be a great way to meet fantastic friends and mentors. |
I started volunteering at Senior Helping Hands because the program has given me the support that I’ve needed and now I feel I need to give back. I feel what you receive in more that you give. |
