We will be starting a new inpatient pharmacy residency program starting July 1, 2017. The St. Cloud Hospital Pharmacy Department is composed of a large, integrated pharmacy staff that is excited to support and train our residents to be well-rounded and innovative clinical pharmacists. Come join our pharmacy team as we work to create a robust and rewarding residency training program in the heart of beautiful central Minnesota!

  • Anticipated rotations: Internal medicine, critical care, emergency medicine, transitions of care, ambulatory care, pediatrics, cardiology, oncology, infectious disease and management
  • Anticipated longitudinal experiences: Residency research or quality improvement projects, hospital committee involvement, continuing education presentations, staffing (every 3rd weekend), inservices, co-precept pharmacy students, and local health fair participation

  • Estimated stipend: $47,500
  • Insurance benefits: Health, dental, vision, accidental death and life insurance
  • Earned time accrual (Holiday/vacation/sick leave)

  • Travel/Membership allowance ($4000/year): ASHP Midyear, Midwest Resident’s Conference, Minnesota Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists Midyear, ASHP and MSHP membership

Requirements and How to Apply

Candidates for the St. Cloud Hospital pharmacy residency program must be:

  • Graduates of an ACPE- accredited college of pharmacy, AND
  • Eligible for licensure in Minnesota on July 1st, AND
  • U.S. Citizens or carry a U.S. permanent resident visa (a “green card”)

Applicants should complete their electronic residency application using the ASHP PhORCAS centralized application system at by January 6, 2017 at 11:59 CST. Complete applications should include the following:

  • A completed residency application
  • Verified PharmD transcripts
  • Personal statement/Letter of intent
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Three completed standardized reference forms — Please ensure one of these references is from a clinical preceptor
