Dr. Nessler specializes in Adult Reconstruction Surgery with special interests in Hip and Knee Replacements and Revisions. He uses minimally invasive (muscle-sparing) surgery techniques for both knee and hip joint replacements. For hip replacements, Dr. Nessler uses a Direct Anterior (muscle sparing) approach, providing the patient with a smaller than traditional incision and quicker recovery time. By using both computer guidance and robotic technology, his patients are ensured a perfect fit of the implants, which provides maximum mobility and better outcomes. Dr. Nessler participates in clinical research and consults with the industry to develop surgical techniques and implants. He performs between 500 and 600 total joint replacement surgeries per year, and he has been involved in training orthopedic surgeons from across the country on the latest surgical techniques and technology.
