Cardiac Rehabilitation - Health and Prevention Services
  • This program promotes healthy lifestyle choices to area communities by providing educational presentations at area schools, hospitals, health fairs and other community functions.
  • The staff provides direct help for many individuals through smoking cessation, weight-loss and nutrition programs.
  • Staff works to provide patient education for better understanding of heart disease and its treatment through the reduction of patient anxiety and depression.
  • An ongoing maintenance program is provided for continued exercise and psychosocial support.
  • Cardiac rehabilitation is offered through a complete three-phase program under the supervision of exercise specialists and R.N.s who follow the guidelines of the American College of Sports Medicine. The program provides exercise, education and support for people who are recovering from a heart attack, surgery or other heart condition.
