This program is one of the largest in Minnesota, serving more than 3,000 patients with pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD). Heart Center staff test more than 6,000 telephonic transmissions, 3,300 clinical pacemakers and 3,900 ICDs annually.

The CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center was the first facility in the United States to implant several pacemaker and ICD models and we participate in national pacemaker and ICD research studies that have contributed to major advances in heart care.

We “take the technology to the patient” by providing follow-up service at 14 facilities throughout Central Minnesota.
