Health Education Presentations:
Look Good, Feel Better! Licensed cosmetologist Sandi Schulzetenberg will share some of the uplifting stories she has encountered in her 20 years with the St. Cloud Hospital Breast Center Enhancement Program and Look Good…Feel Better Program. These programs help women with cancer look good, improve their self-esteem and manage their treatment and recovery with greater confidence.
Spreading the Good News: Updates on Breast and Cervical Cancer. Clinical nurse specialist for the Minnesota Department of Health, Gay Lynn Richards will provide a brief update on advances in breast and cervical cancer screenings.
Metabolic Syndrome: Know Your Risks. Metabolic syndrome is a combination of medical disorders that increase your risk of developing cardiovascular disease, diabetes and some forms of cancer. Nurse practitioner Donna Harris, with the CentraCare Diabetes Center, will help you determine your risk factors and help you develop habits that will lead to good health and longevity.
Brook Stephens from Wild Country 99 will provide a brief update on an exciting new breast cancer awareness event called “Time for Change.”
