FREE screenings and activities - 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Body Composition: For best results do not work out within 4-6 hours prior to the test. You should be well-hydrated. Provided by St. Cloud Area YMCA.
Cardiac Risk Assessment (includes cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure): Fasting is recommended 4-6 hours prior to the lab tests but is not necessary. Lab tests are limited to the first 275 people and must be completed before noon so the cardiac risk assessment results will be ready before you leave. Turn-around time is approximately one hour. Provided by Central Minnesota Heart Center & CentraCare Laboratory Services.
Depression: Is it the blues or something more serious? This is an interactive questionnaire, taken in the privacy of your home to help you determine if you have signs of depression. Provided by St. Cloud Hospital Behavioral Health.
Hemoglobin: Hemoglobin helps diagnose and monitor anemia (iron deficiency). 8 a.m.- noon. Provided by CentraCare Laboratory Services. Limited to the first 275 people.
Sleep: Take a written quiz to learn if you have a serious sleep condition. Provided by St. Cloud Hospital Sleep Center.
Stroke Screening: Use your cholesterol and blood pressure results to identify your risk for stroke. Provided by St. Cloud Hospital Stroke Center.
Pulse Oximetry: A pulse oximeter is a probe we attach to your finger which is linked to a computer. It measures the amount of oxygen in your blood. Provided by St. Cloud Hospital Home Care & Hospice.
Is It Time for a Medical Alarm?: How do you know if and when a medical alarm (such as LifeLine) would be beneficial to you or a loved one? Take this simple written questionnaire to help determine if you could benefit from the peace of mind of a medical alarm. Provided by St. Cloud Hospital Lifeline.
Balance Self Test: Balance problems are known to increase significantly with age. Take this simple written questionnaire to determine if you may be headed for a fall. Your provider can help you determine if you may need a balance screening test from a qualified clinician. Provided by St. Cloud Hospital Balance & Dizziness Program.
Vision Screening: Half of all blindness can be prevented. A vision screening does not replace an eye doctor’s exam, but it can help to identify people who are at risk for eye disease. The screening covers near and distant visual acuity and takes approximately 3-5 minutes per person. Provided by St. Cloud Eye Clinic.
Hearing Screening: Hearing screening tests provide a quick and cost effective way to separate people into two groups: a pass group and a fail group. Those who pass are presumed to have no hearing loss. Those who fail are in need of an in-depth evaluation by an audiologist and also may need follow-up care from other professionals. It is recommended that adults be screened at least every decade through age 50 and at three year intervals thereafter. The screening takes approximately 5-10 minutes per person. Provided by St. Cloud Ear, Nose & Throat, Head & Neck Clinic.
Breathing Test: A spirometry (breathing) test screens for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The test measures the amount of air you can blow out after you have taken in the deepest breath you can. The results of this test give two important numbers that measure airway obstruction. If you have any of the following symptoms you are a candidate for this screening.
1. Do you cough several times a day?
2. Do you bring up phlegm or mucus most days?
3. Do you get out of breath more easily than others?
4. Are you older than 40 years old?
5. Are you a current or ex-smoker?
Provided by St. Cloud Hospital Respiratory Care.
Free CPR Training Class: Learn the basics of CPR and defibrillator use in 20 minutes. Provided by Take Heart St. Cloud: Sudden Cardiac Arrest Initiative.
Massage: A short pause in your day to relax and quiet your mind can be rejuvenating. Try a seated massage. Provided by Marilyn Nelson and StillPointe Natural Health Center.
Glow Germ Light: How effective are you at washing the germs away when you wash your hands? Stop by this booth to see. Rub a liquid on your hands and then wash and dry as you normally would. An ultraviolet light illuminates the simulated “germs” that remain on your hands. Provided by CentraCare Health System.
Health Care Directives: Pick up a packet that will help you complete a legal, health care directive. Provided by CentraCare Health System.
Osteoporosis: Women are four times more likely than men to develop osteoporosis. Our experts will measure you for height loss and discuss with you the results of an osteoporosis risk survey. Provided by CentraCare Clinic Women & Children.
Posture and spinal check: This check will put you on the path to a healthy spine, good posture and an active physical life. Provided by StillPointe Natural Health Center.
Impaired vision goggles: What does someone legally drunk see from behind the wheel? Experience the view through our impaired vision goggles, which simulate the effects of various levels of alcohol in the bloodstream. You'll be amazed! Provided by St. Cloud Hospital Behavioral Health.
