Henneman steps into this role following the retirement of Mike Schramm in January after 15 years in the position.

Following an extensive search and interview process, Henneman was selected for his strong leadership experience in hospital and clinic operations, as well as his expertise in recruitment, service line growth, and financial stewardship.

Henneman has been with CentraCare for 20 years, serving in various leadership roles across the organization. Since 2022, he has been President of CentraCare - Paynesville, and previously, he served as Executive Director of Surgical Services at St. Cloud Hospital. In that role, he provided operational and strategic oversight for multiple service areas, including surgery, urology, weight management, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, wound care, and trauma services.

Beyond operational leadership, Henneman played a key role in co-leading CentraCare's COVID-19 response and Incident Command team. He is a strong advocate for employees and is passionate about the connection between workplace culture, quality, safety, and patient care.

"I was drawn to the CentraCare - Willmar President role because of the opportunity to lead a medical campus that is deeply committed to both innovation and patient-centered care," Henneman said. "My experiences have provided me with a strong foundation in operational leadership and community engagement, and I'm eager to bring that experience to Willmar. This transition is an exciting opportunity to build on past successes, forge new collaborations, and expand access to high-quality care. I look forward to working alongside the excellent teams here to strengthen services and support continued growth for the Willmar region while ensuring exceptional care for our communities."

Henneman and his wife, Jill, who works in nursing at CentraCare, have two young sons. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and engaging in outdoor activities including hunting and fishing.

An interim leadership plan is being developed to support CentraCare - Paynesville, and the recruitment process for Henneman's successor will begin soon.
