Clara's House Hosting Event to Celebrate Expansion, 20 Years of Service

CentraCare is excited to announce an Open House to celebrate the grand opening of Clara’s House new expansion and its 20 years of dedicated service to the community. The event will take place on January 27, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Clara’s House and is open to the public.

In response to the community’s increasing need for mental health services, Clara's House has expanded its facility by approximately 5,785 square feet to accommodate services for children ages 3-5. This expansion will house the first early childhood Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in the Midwest, set to begin next month.

"This program aims to intervene during the child's earliest years of life, which is crucial for promoting foundational child development and wellbeing," said Barbara Skodje-Mack, EdD, LMFT, Director of Child & Adolescent Outpatient Behavioral Health. "We will utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions, along with engaging the entire family with responsive caregiver-child relationships and effective parenting skills."

The expansion has been made possible through generous donations from the community, including the CentraCare Foundation.

During the Open House, guests will have the opportunity to tour the new addition, learn more about the programs, and understand the impact of the services provided by Clara’s House. This event is a chance for the community to come together, celebrate this significant milestone, and witness firsthand how Clara’s House continues to grow and adapt to meet the needs of the community.
