CentraCare Hosts International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day Event

graphic of the Internationl Survivors of Suicide Loss DayCentraCare invites the community to observe International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 22, at CentraCare Plaza, 1900 CentraCare Circle, St. Cloud. Held in the Windfeldt Room, this in-person event offers a space for connection, healing, and remembrance for those affected by suicide loss.

Losing a loved one to suicide is a unique grief. For every person who dies by suicide, it is estimated that 100 people grieve their loss. Therefore, every year there are 5 million new loss survivors who experience the death of a person they cared about to suicide.

The event will include the viewing of a video produced by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), featuring personal stories of hope and healing, along with time for group sharing and access to resources tailored to suicide loss survivors.

Please register through the AFSP website: https://st-cloud-minnesota.isosld.afsp.org. When arriving, use the Woodlands Entrance and follow signs to the Lower Level.

For additional resources, as a suicide loss survivor or someone who supports a suicide loss survivor, please see CentraCare's Suicide Prevention information. If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988.
