CentraCare Offers Flu, COVID-19 Vaccines Through Convenient Clinic Appointments
CentraCare is encouraging community members to protect themselves and their families this fall by getting vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19.
Flu and COVID-19 vaccines are now available through scheduled appointments at CentraCare primary care clinics throughout the region. Patients can conveniently schedule appointments online or by calling CentraCare Connect at 320-200-3200.
Patients may schedule appointments for:
- Flu vaccine
- COVID-19 vaccine
- Both flu and COVID-19 vaccines during the same visit
Health experts recommend that everyone ages 6 months and older receive an annual flu vaccine and stay up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations. Vaccination is especially important for older adults, young children, pregnant individuals and those with underlying health conditions.
"We encourage everyone to get vaccinated for both flu and COVID by the end of October to help protect themselves and their communities before flu season reaches its peak and as respiratory illnesses begin circulating more widely," said Dr. Kim Tjaden, CentraCare Family Medicine Physician.
Vaccine Options for Older Adults
CentraCare is again offering Fluad®, an influenza vaccine designed specifically for adults age 65 and older. Fluad Trivalent contains an adjuvant that helps strengthen, broaden and extend the body's immune response to vaccination.
