CentraCare - St. Cloud Hospital has received the American Heart Association’s Commitment to Quality Award, recognizing its sustained commitment to delivering evidence-based cardiovascular and stroke care across three or more clinical areas within the Association’s Get With The Guidelines® program.
CentraCare - St. Cloud Hospital is the only hospital in Minnesota to receive this recognition.
"This recognition reflects the dedication of our physicians, nurses and care teams to providing the highest quality care for our patients," said Joy Plamann, President of CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital and Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, CentraCare. "It is a strong indicator that the systems and processes we have in place consistently support care that aligns with national clinical guidelines. We are proud of our teams' commitment to continuous improvement and better outcomes for the communities we serve."
The American Heart Association's Commitment to Quality Award is based on sustained performance in delivering guideline-directed care. Measures include timely treatment, appropriate medications and interventions, patient education, discharge planning and accurate submission of clinical data to the American Heart Association registry.
Hospitals earning this recognition demonstrate a comprehensive, systemwide approach to quality improvement through the use of real-time data registries, evidence-based clinical protocols and collaboration across multiple specialties.
"Overall, CentraCare has consistently earned recognition across multiple cardiovascular and stroke programs," Plamann said. "This award highlights our commitment to reliably delivering evidence-based care and ensuring patients receive the right care at the right time."
