CentraCare recognized for clinical excellence at UCare's "A Salute to Excellence!"

UCare recently held its ninth annual "A Salute to Excellence!" event to recognize 13 clinics and care systems with top results in 2017 Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures. CentraCare was recognized for improving the health of UCare members enrolled in Medicare, Minnesota Senior Health Options and Special Needs BasicCare plans.

George Morris, MD, Physician VP of Performance Excellence and Hannah Wieshalla, Manager of Quality Improvement and Network Support at CentraCare accepted the UCare Excellence in Health Care award that honors health care providers for providing outstanding, high-quality service to UCare's Medicare and Medicaid members in Minnesota.

"We appreciate working with UCare to improve the health of our communities and patients," said Dr. Morris. "They have been our partner for many years as we care for some of our states most challenged patients. This recognition demonstrates our commitment to providing patient centered care that matters."

Mark Traynor, President and CEO, UCare, and Dr. Julia Joseph-Di Caprio, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, UCare, presented guests with the awards at A Salute to Excellence! event at the University of Minnesota's McNamara Alumni Center on October 25, 2018.

"We know how hard our provider partners work throughout the year to help UCare members enjoy the best health for their lives. This evening of celebration is so important for recognizing CentraCare's excellent work and dedication," said Traynor at the event. "We value each provider and the power of the partnerships we have forged to support UCare members across Minnesota."
