CentraCare's Patient Technology Advisory Council (PTAC) Is Looking for New Voices
Are you — or is someone you know — interested in improving our patients' digital experience? No tech expertise is needed, just a willingness to share your perspective and ideas!
Do you know someone who's passionate about improving our patients' digital experiences? Maybe a family member or friend who has ideas about how technology can make health care easier and more personal? If so, please invite them to join CentraCare's Patient Technology Advisory Council (PTAC)!
We're currently seeking six to eight new members, and we have room for two CentraCare team members.
What is PTAC?
PTAC is a group of 10 to 15 members from our patient community who provide valuable feedback on CentraCare's digital tools and services. No tech expertise needed, just a willingness to share your experience and ideas!
In this volunteer role, members attend four meetings per year, enjoy complimentary dinner and help shape the future of digital health care by sharing their insights and suggestions.
The council is led by Amy Porwoll, CIO and Senior Vice President.
"As we enter our third year, the Patient Technology Advisory Council continues to be a powerful way for us to listen and learn directly from our patients," said Porwoll. "The feedback we've received has already led to meaningful improvements in our digital experience and we look forward to building on that progress this year."
Who can apply?
We are actively seeking patients who meet the following criteria:
In-depth knowledge or understanding of modern technology is not required. The council will include a wide range of technological expertise.
- PTAC members must have had a care experience, either as a patient or as a patient's caregiver, at a CentraCare entity within the last year (12 months) of the application.
- CentraCare will consider membership for CentraCare team members and their family members.
- If asked to join the council, you will attend four meetings over the next year, one in August, November, February and May. Meetings are held on a Wednesday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at South Point in St. Cloud.
- Click here to apply and be sure to select "Participating on a Patient Technology Advisory Council."
We anticipate packed agendas where we not only gather feedback but also give patients a sneak peek at new technology. Sample agenda items include remote monitoring, text messages, virtual care, MyChart and more.
